A Florida wetlands landscape, painted in the style of the 20th Century Indian River School and its founder, Albert (Beanie) Backus (1906-1990), who assisted in the foundation of the Florida Highwaymen movement. Depicts a large body of water, with palm trees, mangroves, water birds, and birds in flight, beneath a blue, pink, and lavender sky of billowing cumulus clouds. Artist signed to lower right. Presented with a fabric mat border in a rustic wood frame.
