Made as a one-of-a-kind custom set of 3 rods with Goodwin Granger tapers, all are unfished and in mint condition. Rod #1: 8', 3/2, rated for #5 lines. It has translucent wraps tipped red, black snake guides, orange agate stripper, ivory ferrule plugs, 6" Western handle (w/ plastic wrapper), fancy 'marble-cake' walnut reel seat with cap and ring fittings. The cap is stamped: "D.L. Whitehead, Maker, S.N. 146-C". It has an orange cloth bag made slightly shorter than the rod sections, and brass-capped tube with label. Rod #2: 7 1/2', 3/2, made for #4 lines. It is similar to the first rod in wraps, reel seat, etc. but has a 6" cigar shaped grip. The butt cap is stamped: "S.N. 146-B". It comes with an olive/brown bag and labeled brass-capped tube. Rod #3: 7', 2/2, for #4 lines. This 2-pc. rod is also finished like the previous 2 rods with the same wraps, reel seat, ivory ferrule plugs, etc. The 5 1/2" handle is cigar shaped. The cap is stamped: " S.N. 146-A". It has an orange cloth bag and properly labeled brass-capped tube.
