Scalloped paktong actions profusely engraved with foliate scrolls and "LONDON" on right sides and "J WILLIAMS" on other sides. Sliding engraved and fire-blued tang safeties on tops. Fire-blued and engraved hammers and folding triggers. Finely checkered walnut bag grips with silver oval-shaped wrist escutcheons. Complete in their original mahogany case with burgundy velour partitioned interior with a lidded compartment. Lid with a flush brass escutcheon with folding handle, round brass keyhole escutcheon. Accessories include a brass dual cavity powder flask marked "J. DIXON & SONS / SHEFFIELD" on ball cavity cover. Also included is a brass bullet mold and steel ramrod with brass tip. CONDITION: Excellent overall. Barrels retain nearly all of their original fire-blued finish with some light muzzle wear from casing. Actions crisp and function well, hammers retain nearly all of their original fire-blued finish. Case interior shows some fading and minor staining, one lid absent but bone knob is present. Flask and mold very good and retain a dark mustard patina. A very attractive high quality cased pair.
