This very scarce advance one sheet debuted in late 1978, before the film's release in May 1979.

Some crimps on the poster's left edge and smaller ones scattered within the poster.

Ridley Scott's second film, Alien, came up with a unique concept of setting a horror movie on a spaceship. It initiated one of the most long-lasting franchises in cinema history. The movie presented a fresh perspective on sci-fi, with blue-collared characters and a strong female protagonist in Sigourney Weaver's character of Ripley. The movie is also renowned for its nightmarish creature, designed by Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger. Even today, it is considered one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made.
