Prior to linen backing, this poster had issues including pinholes, fold wear, separation, and chipping. The poster had sporadic touchups to both the borders and fold lines and now presents very well.

Earl Derr Biggers' creation, Charlie Chan, became an instant hit with the audience and was soon adapted into a 15-part series based on his debut novel. In 1931, Charlie Chan Carries On, the first feature film of the series was released, starring Warner Oland, a Swedish-American actor, in the lead role. He played the character in fifteen more films, of which this is the final installment. Keye Luke, a prolific Asian actor, starred alongside Oland as Lee Chan, Charlie's "Number One Son," a role he reprised in seven of the Oland movies.
