Dr. Nalkee Blackley - Philadelphia PA
Marked on verso "Class of 88" Philadelphia Physicians and Doctors. Rare
Dr. Nalkee Blackley was born in Philadelphia in 1847. He was the son of John and Sarah Blackley. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the medical school in 1870. He then practiced medicine in Philadelphia for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Medical Association and the Philadelphia Medical Society. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Philadelphia Dispensary for the Sick Poor.
In 1890, Dr. Blackley was living at 1826 Spruce Street in Philadelphia. He was married to Mary Blackley and they had two children, Nalkee Blackley Jr. and Margaret Blackley.
Dr. Blackley was a respected physician and a pillar of the Philadelphia community. He was known for his compassion and his dedication to his patients. He made significant contributions to the field of medicine and to the city of Philadelphia.
