William Pitt (1759-1806). Autograph Letter Signed, "W. Pitt", as Prime Minister, 2pp, on a single sheet measuring 7.375" x 9.25", Walmer Castle, Deal, Kent, UK, October 9, 1805. Expected folds. A few minor spots. Overall, in very good condition.

Pitt writes to R. Francis, Esq., in full: "In consequence of the letter which I received from you yesterday, I have written to Town advising that a further advance may be immediately made to the amount you desire. Lord Callenagh[?] is to be here on Friday. I shall be glad if you will meet Him. Sir Sydney Smith and Mr. Congreve, between two and three that day, and I shall hope for the pleasure of your Company at dinner."
