**Originally Listed At $400**

South Asia, India, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A cast-brass horse and rider figurine, the rider is cast separately and straddles the broad back, his bowed legs securing him to the horse. The horse is adorned with finely delineated reins, saddle, and bridle, while the man has a European style military coat and helmet - perhaps representing a soldier of the British Indian Army. Size: 5" L x 2" W x 5.5" H (12.7 cm x 5.1 cm x 14 cm)

Provenance: private San Francisco, California, USA collection, acquired 1970s to 2000s
