Description
Pre-Columbian, South Coast of Peru, Nazca to Huari Transition, ca. 500 to 600 CE. A hand-built pottery vessel with an abstract deity in flight along each half of the carinated midsection. The vessel exhibits a rounded base that leans to one side given the weight of the cylindrical spout, and above is a flared rim decorated with colorful stripes. The abstract deities present with extended tongues with vegetal pods, attenuated limbs, and a cape adorned with a severed trophy head. Size: 4.625" L x 3.9" W x 2.75" H (11.7 cm x 9.9 cm x 7 cm)
