Description
Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A set of 2 ancient spear tips, each with a cylindrical socketing shaft and a narrow neck. The first copper spear tip features a rounded neck below a blade head with a thick midrib, and the longer bronze spear tip exhibits a rectangular neck beneath a petaloid blade with a slender midrib. Both are covered in naturally-occurring layers of green, brown, and russet patina. Size of largest: 13" L x 1.6" W (33 cm x 4.1 cm)
