Ancient Near East, Anatolia, Hittite culture, ca. late 3rd millennium BCE. A lovely stone fob stamp seal of conical form with a knob-shaped handle and a rectangular face incised with a feline. The animal strides right with one front leg raised and an undulating tail. A petite suspension hole on the handle allows the stamp to be worn as a bead or pendant. Size: 0.5" L x 0.4" W x 0.6" H (1.3 cm x 1 cm x 1.5 cm)
