Latin America, Spanish Colonial period, Mexico, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. A remarkable pottery jug featuring a bulbous body adorned with relief imagery of a mustached sun face on one side and a coat of arms on the other. Size: 8" W x 9.4" H (20.3 cm x 23.9 cm)

Provenance: private Ferndale, Michigan, USA collection; ex-private Detroit, Michigan, USA collection, acquired prior to 2004
