Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, United States or Canada, Haida, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A hand-carved rattle with 1 small rattle head and 1 large rattle head on opposite ends of a ringed handle. Inside each eagle-shaped rattle head are petite balls that create a pleasing sound when jostled. Size: 10.2" L x 3.1" W x 3.1" H (25.9 cm x 7.9 cm x 7.9 cm)
Provenance: private Alamo, California, USA collection, acquired in 1969
