Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, United States or Canada, Tlingit or Haida people, ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A pair of walrus ivory witch amulet and animal totem pendants made from walrus ivory. The pendant is in the form of an anthropomorphic visage at the opposite end of a raven, the hooked beak forming the pendant loop. The eyes and wings inlaid with nacre shell panels. The witch amulet depicts a woman in a crouching position, her hands bound behind her back, and head tilted upward with her long braid hanging down her spine. Size (pendant): 3.125" L x 0.5" W (7.9 cm x 1.3 cm); (amulet): 1.25" L x 0.75" W x 1.6" H (3.2 cm x 1.9 cm x 4.1 cm)
