Benjamin Harrison Beautiful Blue Etched Glass Window, ca. 1890s
A stunning etched glass window featuring the image of President Benjamin Harrison. Measuring 21.5" x 28.25" (sight), N.p., n.d. (ca.1890-1892). A cobalt blue glass window etched to clear, with a standing portrait of Benjamin Harrison holding a scroll, standing beneath an arch with cherubs and hanging fruit garlands. The window is captioned "Harrison" at the bottom. Housed in a contemporary walnut frame, measuring 26.25" x 32.75" and weighing approximately 12 lbs. Some wear, scratching, and imperfections to the glass. Overall very good.

Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 23rd president of the United States from 1889 to 1893. He was a member of the Harrison family of Virginia; a grandson of the ninth president, William Henry Harrison, and a great-grandson of Benjamin Harrison V, a Founding Father. A Republican, Harrison was elected to the presidency in 1888, defeating the Democratic incumbent Grover Cleveland in the Electoral College despite losing the popular vote.
