Description
This is a Crawfordsville and Southwestern Railway of Indiana first mortgage bond prospectus book from 1872. It is in rough shape, with both sides of the cover disconnected, with tears, frays, and missing pieces. A route map of the railroad and its connectors is inside the front cover, and it also has tears and frays. The book itself has 24 pages. The road itself was established in 1871. It would become the Logansport, Crawfordsville and Southwestern, then the Terre Haute and Logansport in 1879, the Vandalia Railroad, the Pittsburgh Cincinnati Chicago and St Louis, and finally, part of the Pennsylvania Railroad. A great item for the collection of a serious PRR collector!
