Description
Ancient Central Asia, Bactria, ca. late 3rd to 2nd millennium BCE. A set of 2 hand-carved mace heads, each of inverted conical form with a biconical hafting hole drilled through the body. Carved from either marble or limestone, each weapon would have been a formidable sight on the battlefield when mounted atop a lengthy wooden pole - especially in the hands of a capable warrior. Size of largest: 2.41" L x 2.34" W x 2.86" H (6.1 cm x 5.9 cm x 7.3 cm)
