Description
Ancient Near East, Urartian culture, ca. 9th to 7th century BCE. A rare example of a cast-bronze dagger with a tall, slender handle bearing columns of dense openwork motifs. The rhombus-shaped guard features a similar openwork design with rectangular spaces, and the entire weapon has developed smooth layers of brown patina. Size: 1.125" L x 1.6" W x 12.125" H (2.9 cm x 4.1 cm x 30.8 cm)
