The article reads in part: ‘...results not fully known...but sufficient returns are received to show that ABRAHAM LINCOLN and ANDREW JOHNSON are chosen as President and Vice President...the war is to go on till the Rebellion and slavery are crushed together!...’. Other headlines relate to developments in the war, including: ‘Congregationalism’, ‘Lovable Christians’, ‘Congregational Councils’, and ‘General News’ articles read, in part: ‘...rebels essayed a night attack upon Gen.
