Debbie Brown is a granddaughter of Jessie Garcia and Maria Trujillo (Laguna). She is a daughter of Sarah Garcia and a sister of Goldie Hayah, Oliver Garcia and Donna Chino. She is known for her large vessels and use of traditional designs. She has won awards at various Indian art shows around the country. She grew up learning the ancient art of working with clay by helping her mother and grandmother in their pottery-making processes. Today she likes to work with large pots (like her grandmother) and use many of the designs she learned from her grandmother.
