Item Details

Description

A strong condition 1860 Spencer carbine 100% original, 100% complete, mechanically perfect. The only anomaly is the lack of a firm marking on the top of the frame. I can-t tell if it wore off, or left the factory without being stamped. The gun does not show heavy wear. It has traces of case color on the lock and receiver. All the wood and metal edges are strong. The right side of the frame is stamped with a number 1. The barrel has the early 7 groove rifling, worn and dark. There is a small stress line on the left side of the butt stock. A real solid Spencer 7-shooter.
