DESCRIPTION: PLEASE NOTE - THIS WAS INITIALLY LISTED AS AN ORIGINAL DRAWING BY THE ARTIST. Our sincere apologies. Current bidders retractions will be honored. Good news and bad news. The bad is it not an original drawing. Good news is that a letter to the person Ding gifted it to and signed by the artist (just provided by the estate) is included. It is typed and on his personal letterhead. See additional photos. Thanks in advance for your understanding. We had several originals in the estate and you know what they say about assumptions. Revised description below.

This delightful political cartoon ‘photostat’ by famed Kansas illustrator, cartoonist Ding Darling titled ‘Halloween’ 1936, features a country outhouse labeled Private Rights being stolen by a group of political hoodlums running full tilt down the street with the occupant still inside and peeking through the door! A personal note to Alf Landon is penned in the bottom left margin.
CONDITION: Good Original condition matted in acid free material.
