Description
(John F. Kennedy, 1960) A program from a campaign appearance by John F. Kennedy, signed by the soon-to-be President. On October 22, 1960, JFK spoke at Shawnee-Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas, just over two weeks before the day he was elected to President. This program is signed simply "John" by then candidate Kennedy. It is also signed by Frank Gordon Theis, a Judge in Kansas who was running for Senate in 1960, and Georgia Neese Clark Gray, a former actress who was a Democratic National Committee member at the time. The program is displayed with Kennedy campaign memorabilia from that year including a Kennedy/Johnson bumper sticker, button, and pin, and (2) Kennedy pins. The collection is matted and framed along with (2) Kennedy half dollars. The 8.5"x5.5" program is in very good condition, with a faint mark and crease from original handling. All the campaign items, measuring from the .75" diameter pin up to the 3.35"x11" bumper sticker, are in very good to fine condition. The 17.5"x22.5"x2.5" display frame is in good condition, with cosmetic damage only to the bottom front edge.
