New Kingdom, Ca. 1550-1069 BC.A stone statue of a seated figure, comprising an L-shaped base with decorative vertical striations and a panel of hieroglyphs to both faces. This piece likely belonged to a royal or divine figure, featuring a pleated kilt and arms resting on the thighs with open palms facing downwards. The reverse side of the pillar base also has hieroglyphs. Size: L:130mm / W:130mm ; 1.22kg Provenance: Property of a London Ancient Art gallery; formerly French collection, 1990s-early 2000s; from an important Paris gallery, France; Ex. private Parisian collection.
