Description
A rare and beautiful antique Russian 19th century silver and polychrome champleve enamel egoist cutlery set. The set includes a dinner spoon, a fork, and a knife. The handles of fork and knife are decorated with pan Slavic champleve enamel patterns and features the Cyrillic initials KP, the spoon bowl is decorated with the same design. The knife blade is stamped with the Cyrillic makers stamp Varypaev under the Imperial double headed eagle. Each piece hallmarked with an 88 Imperial Russian silver standard, assayer mark`with the date 1875, and the makers initials I.H, possibly for Ivan Khlebnikov.
