Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Paquime/Casas Grandes, ca. 1150 to 1450 CE. A pair of coil-made pottery bowls of a diminutive size with black and red design elements. The larger bowl has decoration inside the basin, which is rare and unusual for this type, most interiors are left bare. The decoration style, with its fine lines, belongs to the Ramos Polychrome group, which represents the pinnacle of achievement for Casas Grandes (also known as Paquime) ceramics. Size of larger: 4.4" Diameter x 2.5" H (11.2 cm x 6.4 cm)
