Description

Two anonymous, quarter-plate daguerreotypes of a young girl housed together in a single thermoplastic case. In one plate, she is dressed for winter in her fur-trimmed cape, bonnet and fur muff; in the other, she wears an off-the-shoulder summer dress.

NO RESERVE

Condition

Resealed in 1998 when acquired from a Sotheby's auction, possibly cleaned at some point. They could use a fresh reseal and then they will sparkle. Housed in a thermoplastic case in excellent condition.
