Description
A GROUP OF FIVE EARLY PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAITS IN LEATHER CASES, 1840-1920, consisting of a daguerreotype portrait of a matron, two ambrotype portraits of young men with hand colored cheeks, a tintype of a wealthy young beauty, and a silver gelatin photograph on paper of a couple; largest case: height: 3 1/2", width: 3 1/4", depth: 3/4".
Condition
Some loss of image on the daguerreotype, the tintype has various losses throughout, creasing of paper on photograph, and general expected surface wear throughout all, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
