Featured in this lot are three beautiful, original cases with Daguerreotype portrait photographs of various men, women and children, circa mid to late 1800s. The original cases feature ornate carvings and designs showing great attention to detail. The first case shows a scene of three children playing in a forested area with toys with scroll designs around the edges of the top of the case. The inside photographs show a young boy and older woman wearing glasses on the top row while the bottom shows a young woman and an older man with a beard and a hat. The second case shows a floral scene in the middle with floral and scroll designs around the outer edge. The top two photos show a baby boy and a younger woman, while the bottom two shows a young woman with tight, long curled hair and a young girl holding a basket handle or wheel. The third and final case shows two children playing near a lake or river, while the outer edge of the case is adorned with scroll style deigns. The top row of photos shows a middle aged woman wearing a bonnet with flowers, and next to her, a young girl wearing a necklace. The bottom row of photos shows another young girl wearing a polka dot dress, while next to her, is a middle aged man with medium length, combed hair. The cases and photos show good condition overall with some wear from their antique age and use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage are present. The cases measure from 3" L x 4 11/16" W x 1" D to 2 3/16" L x 3 7/16" W x 3/4" D. The collective weight of the collection is 1lb, 4 oz.*
