AMERICAN FOLK ART PATRIOTIC / POLITICAL DRAWING, watercolor and pencil on paper, an interesting montage featuring Federal eagle with shield, squirrel, several portrait vignettes, and a farming scene with barrel bearing "HARD CIDER" slogan, possibly a campaign-inspired piece relating to William Henry Harrison's 1840 Presidential campaign. Housed in a period split-baluster frame with cornerblocks retaining original surface. Circa 1840. 9 1/4" x 11 1/2" sight, 11 3/4" x 14" OA.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor toning, light fold lines, small tears and losses. Frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.
