Description
Japanese Porcelain Peach Bloom Vase, probably created around 1930, is from the workshop of Hasegawa Hakuho. Elegantly potted with a tall, slender neck, it is a glazed with a "peach bloom" glaze achieved by the addition of copper oxide in the glaze. Inspired by Chinese monochromatic oxblood and peach bloom glaze, it is distinguished by a even, glossy surface and a white, unglazed rim. The base is also unglazed on this vase. The vase comes with its own tomobako with inscriptions on the lid.
