Probably Xavier Tharin, with two-train movement no. 258, striking hours and halves on bell, silk-thread suspension, 3¾-inch (9 cm) enameled Roman dial in gilt bezel, ebonized case and hand-tinted glazed lithographed scene of a blacksmith’s shop with two figures hammering while a third operates the bellows, controlled by replacement two-air pull-string cylinder musical box, ht. 18 in. (45.5 cm), picture 5 ¼ x 6 ½ in. (13.5 x 16.5 cm), case refinished, back door bowed, rear panel replaced, good working condition, with later key.
