STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CHINOISERIE MOTIF PLATES, LOT OF NINE, each having dark blue transfer, comprising three examples with Weeping Willow patterns including two Clews soup plates with #4 and one Wood plate with #3, each featuring a scene with figures smoking pipes in foreground and pagoda in background, and six 7 3/4" D examples featuring two figures with urn, a pagoda, bridge, and boat in background, having alternating border medallions depicting birds and figures. Marks to underside include impressed crown with "CLEWS / WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", "WOOD", and impressed "B". James and Ralph Clews, Cobridge; Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 10 5/8" DOA.
