ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED "PALESTINE" CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF NINE, each having red/pink transfer scenes, comprising five matching 9 1/2" D plates featuring figures on horseback with gazebo and minarets in background, three matching 8 1/2" D plates featuring a figure on horseback beside two figures, one holding a spear, and one 7 1/2" plate featuring three figures on a carpet beside a gazebo. Marks include impressed "ADAMS" and red-printed "PALESTINE". William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent, England. 1829-1861. 7 1/2" to 9 1/2" D.
Four undamaged, except some having minor expected usage wear; two having light hairlines to underside that do not appear to go through to front, one with minor flake to underside rim, one with flake to rim edge, and one having restoration to rim chips.
