Pre-Columbian, Maya terracotta polychrome painted storage vessel, or offering jar. Decorated with geometric and stylized motifs throughout in hues of burnt umber and ochre on a cream colored background. Slightly rounded but stable base leading up a wide body with thin convex walls. Size 7" H x 8 1/2" W
Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
