Description
Finely painted Derby porcelain plate - shallow bowl, decorated in the Imari style, highlighted in gold gilt and featuring an armorial crest with the image of a Blackamoor wearing a wreath.
Circa 1806-1825. Marked on the back with a red hand-painted Derby crown mark and some decorator numbers, also in red. Made at the Nottingham Road factory.
Diameter - 10 " (25.5 cm)
Height - 1.25 " (3.5 cm)
PROVENANCE: San Francisco estate / California collection.
CONDITION : Excellent condition with light wear to the gold fire-gilding at the outer rim. Light overall wear, but generally very fine. No chips, no restoration, no hairlines.
