A fine and large example of Lithyalin glass attributed to Friedrich Egermann - Bohemian, 19th Century. Hand-blown and hand-polished overall. Graceful form and beautiful colors. Unsigned, as is usual for Egermann Lithyalin glass.
Developed in the late 1820's by Friedrich Egermann, Lithyalin glass, an opaque or translucent marbled glass, was intended to imitate the marbled look of semi-precious stones.This vase is a fine example by Friedrich Egermann who had a workshop in Haida, Bohemia (now Novy Bors, Czech Republic).
Height - 10.25" ( 26 cm )
Weight - 3 lbs 9 oz.
CONDITION : Excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Shelf wear and scratches on the bottom, as shown.
