Description
Circa 6th to 3rd Century B.C. With opaque yellow face, applied blue eyes, and a blue hat or turband with opaque yellow white and red marvered threads.
Height - 5/8” (1.6 cm)
Width - 11/16" (1.8 cm)
PROVENANCE: From the collection of Esther Fuller (artist, collector and a founding member of the Oakland Museum of California) acquired by her in the 1940's.
CONDITION : Loss to part of one eye, possible losses to reverse (see photos).
NOTES / REFERENCES : A similar Phoenician glass head pendant was sold by Christie's in April of 2012 (Groppi Collection - Lot 55 along with another).
