Description
Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter Personally Owned Harrah's Lake Tahoe Award Plaque W/COA - This plaque was presented to country music legends Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter for their May 19, 1985 appearance at Harrah's of Lake Tahoe. Well known for being the pioneer of the Outlaw Movement in the genre, Jennings was part of the supergroup The Highwaymen throughout the 1980s alongside fellow musicians Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. His wife, Jessi Colter, emerged as one of the only female artists from the Outlaw Movement, and was a frequent collaborator with Jennings throughout their marriage beginning in 1969. Jennings was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001, and passed away in 2002 at the age of 64. Colter remains one of the most beloved staples of the country music genre to this day, along with her only child with Jennings, Waylon "Shooter" Jennings. This lot was acquired from the Jennings home in Brentwood, Tennessee, and includes a presentation box specifically designed for the award. This lot also includes the original certificate of authenticity issued by Jimmy Velvet, CEO of The Legends Collection, Inc.
