Waylon Jennings Personally Owned Valley Of The Sun School Appreciation Plaque W/COA - This plaque was presented to country music legend Waylon Jennings on March 1, 1969, as a gesture of appreciation for his performance benefitting the Valley of the Sun School, presented by the Phoenix JayCee Jadettes. Well known for being the pioneer of the Outlaw Movement in the genre, Jennings was part of the supergroup The Highwaymen throughout the 1980s alongside fellow musicians Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. Jennings was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001, and passed away in 2002 at the age of 64. This lot measures approximately 12 in x 8 in, and includes the original certificate of authentication issued by Jimmy Velvet, President and CEO of The Legends Hall of Fame.
