Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, Chinesco type, Protoclassic Period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A hollow-built vessel shaped like a charming canine standing atop four conical legs. The raised head presents squinting eyes, a tapered snout, and perky ears while the back bears a large red X that stretches down to the paws. Size: 10.875" L x 4.375" W x 7.1" H (27.6 cm x 11.1 cm x 18 cm)
