Ancient Pre Columbian Nayarit Two-Headed Dog Ca. 100 B.C. - 250 A.D. Size 6 1/4 inches wide, 5 inches high. Orangeware pottery double headed dog vessel, standing on tapered tripod legs. Collar rimmed opening in the center of their back, heads facing one another. Overall scattered mineral deposits on the surface. Front right leg reattached with break line visible, some minor loss along the break line. Provenance: Ex. Judith Simon, Cleveland, OH., 1960s-1970s. By descent to family.
