FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT (1882-1945) PRESIDENTIAL TYPED LETTER SIGNED TO THE RED CROSS CHAIRMAN, on White House stationary, dated August 31, 1942, addressed to the Honorable Norman H. Davis, Chairman, American Red Cross, Washington, DC, addressing the 25th anniversary of the American Junior Red Cross, closes with "I am confident that the future achievements of the organization will be ever increased. The needs of our nation at war are great. The American Junior Red Cross, because it has already proved its ability, can be counted on to assist greatly toward meeting those needs." Reserve. Dated 1942. 11" x 8 1/2" sheet.
