Set of 3 railroad dining car sugar tongs by two different manufacturers. The spoon tongs are engraved with CPR in script, bottom stamped Elkington Plate England, and measure 4 1/2". The fork tongs are engraved with CPR in sans-serif, bottom stamped Cassidy's Hotel Plate, and measure 4". The tongs show standard signs of wear with scratches from use. These items were purchased by the family of the consignor directly through their CP Bygones vault auction in 1977. They were the first and until now only private owners of these items. These items have not been passed from collector to collector, and this is the first time they will have changed hands in forty six years.
