Set of 6 railroad dining car dessert plates in the Green Band pattern top marked with entwined CPR monogram and bottom marked Grindley Hotelware Co. England. Plates measure 8" and show standard signs of utensil use and stacking wear with scratches and discoloration. One plate does have two 1/4" chips along the edge near the top mark and on the right side of the plate. Another plate has a 1/4" chip on the underside of the edge below the top mark. Otherwise no cracks or breaks in the set. See photos for best description.The purchaser of this lot will be only the second owner beyond the Canadian Pacific Railway. These items were purchased by the family of the consignor directly through their CP Bygones vault auction in 1977. They were the first and until now only private owners of these items. These items have not been passed from collector to collector, and this is the first time they will have changed hands in forty six years.
