Broadside.- Political satire.- Anonymous (active 1780s) The cackling of the geese; or, The grand entry of Jacky C⁂* into the city, Involuntarily led in by the Talbot Junto, satire on John Crewe's independent candidature at the election in Chester in 1784, wood-engraved vignette with letterpress title and text underneath, on laid paper with postal horn watermark, sheet 390 x 310 mm (15 1/4 x 12 1/4 in), old horizontal crease with some repairs verso to splitting, surface dirt and minor toning to sheet, light spotting, unframed, [1784].
