Minton Majolica Tortoise-Shell Ground Six-Pocket Oyster Plate
Shape no. 1323, date cypher for 1871
The central well surrounded by a band molded with shells within six radiating oyster shell pockets, the spokes molded with shells and seaweed, impressed uppercase mark and two small cyphers raised registry diamond (T-26-4-W) for 26 March 1867 and shape no., and black painted 6, diameter 9 1/8 inches; Together with a Mintons Majolica Emerald-Green Ground Six-Pocket Oyster Plate. Date cypher for 1878, the central well surrounded by a band molded with shells within six radiating oyster shell pockets, the spokes molded with shells and seaweed, impressed uppercase mark and two small cyphers, impressed registry diamond for 28 March 1867 and shape no. 1323, black painted J, diameter 9 1/8 inches.
