Description
Including commemorative/souvenir handkerchiefs and scarves from World War I, the 1898 and 1939 World's Fairs, an 1898 production of the Strauss opera "The Queen's Lace Handkerchief", the Pendleton Round-Up rodeo, and many more; plus folk art embroideries of military emblems and love tokens; and many examples of fine needlework and hand-made lace. Dimensions: (Largest handkerchief, with black daisy border) L 14" x W 14" Condition: Showing various signs of wear consistent with age and use; some soiling and discoloration, a few stress tears and pulled embroidery threads, etc.
Condition
All the items in this auction remain at our Annex Gallery in Bridgeport, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up or shipped in the time frame of Wednesday, April 5th - Friday, April 14th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS. We will offer in-house shipping to the Contiguous USA for select smaller items in this sale, please contact us prior to bidding for a quote as purchases are not contingent on shipping.
