Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A fine selection of five mold-formed faience amulets that are covered in lustrous layers of green or blue-green glaze. First are a trio of slender perfume vials shaped like classic alabastrons with tapered bases and perforated upper suspension loops. Second is an effigy of Thoth - the god of writing and intelligence - in his baboon-headed form depicted striding atop an integral plinth; a suspension hole is drilled laterally through the top of the back pillar. The largest amulet features a hedgehog walking atop an integral plinth with incised grooves indicative of its spines. Size of largest (hedgehog): 0.75" L x 0.625" W (1.9 cm x 1.6 cm)

Condition
All pieces have minor nicks and light fading to glaze pigment, otherwise intact and very good. Nice remains of glaze pigment throughout.
