A simply adorable original cotton red young girl's dress, circa 1840's all hand sewn with occasional treadle machine stitching. A back button closure, with waist gathers in small cartridge pleating. Side pocket insert. Adorned with lovely red passementerie trim stitched and attached by hand.

CONDITION
In very good clean sound condition, with very minor flaws, water staining inside lining, small holes scattered about in skirt and small holes in left sleeve and right sleeve has holes, rips and discolorations.
